wav not working on spell recast warning

I just recently learned how to use the spell timer feature of ACT. I set it up for Protector's Realm and used a wav file I put on my desktop as the sound to warn me 10 seconds before the recast. It worked fine on our first trip. After that the wav wouldn't sound (I still got a visual from the "Spell Timers" window). I deleted act and reinstalled it, put the spell/times back and re-linked the wav file and it worked again immediately after that and then stopped working. Anyone ever had this issue before?
