Summary: ACT parse from EQ2 is not displaying on my Logitech G15 Keybard
1. Installed ACT Version 2.7.0, Release 188.
2. Clicked the "Enable teh LCD Display" button in the General Options tab, under Logitech G 15 Keyboard LCD option (ACT reports that it sees the LCD).
3. I do see parses in Main and Mini Tab windows.
4. In the Logitech GamePanel Manager, in the Program section, "Advanced Combat Tracker" is checked and the "Allow Program to Force itself to Foreground on Display" is also checked.
5. Start EQ2.
6. Confirm that G15 support is enabled in EQ2 options.
7. Confirm that other EQ2 info is displaying on LCD (e.g. character name, hps, etc.)
Issue: When solo, in a group or a raid, with ACT running in background, nothing from ACT will display on LCD when damage parse data is being generated.

System: Vista 64 with SP1, 4GB RAM, AMD FX-64, ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce motherboard w/USB 2.0 ports, nvidia 8800 GTS 512 video card (Forceware 169.25 for vista 64 installed), all Vista 64 drivers updated, all motherboard drivers updated, Logitech G15 keyboard (GamePanel 2.02.101), Logitech G5 Mouse (4.40.8Cool. Any help appreciated. Let me know if you need more info. Thank you for an interesting program in ACT. Cheers.

EQ2's G15 support has nothing to do with ACT.

ACT does not force itself to the foreground, nor does it destructively force itself to the foreground like EQ2 does. EQ2 will actually override the G15's default switching method, switch to itself, and disable other applications from forcing themselves to the foreground. You have to actually go into the G15 panel to restore old switching settings even after EQ2 closes. That is what I mean by destructive.

You must switch to ACT manually by using the application switching button near the LCD. This is usually the round button on the far left side of the display.
Hidden:
After that, the ACT splash screen will indicate what the other four buttons do within the application.

I realize EQ2 has nothing to do with ACT, but just wanted to point out that my G15 keyboard is receiving information from other applications (like EQ2).

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am still not seeing ACT on my G15 display, even following your direction of pressing the round, application button (ACT is not one of the choices). I talked to somebody else and they said the latest version of ACT broke their link between ACT and the G15. I wonder how many people are in the same boat as we are in?

I think ACT is a great program and I thank you. It would even be more awesome if I could figure out how to get it to display on my trick keyboard. Smile

Thanks for any help.

PS: I have the G15 keyboard does that does not have the swivel display (it's fixed and amber in color).

Your steps #2 and #4 indicate that ACT is successfully connected to the G15 LCD. Otherwise there would be error messages in that tiny log window. Since there are no error messages, and no other mis-indications (such as the G15 software not seeing it), I cannot provide much help.

Actually, you did help. I reread your first reply and it got me thinking about EQ2 taking over so to speak... so when I started ACT *before* starting EQ2, and using the applciation button to display ACT, it seems to work fine in parsing EQ2 collected data. I was being confused when starting ACT after EQ2, because like you said, there were no error messages or obvious issues. So the order in which you start ACT, in relation to other programs, seems to be a factor.

Again, I appreciate your time and help. I do enjoy ACT (now on two screens).

Cheers.
